Causes of Cracked Heels

Several factors influencing cracking heels:

1- Using an incorrect footwear.
2- Dryness and thinning of the skin.
3- Walking barefoot.
4- Being long hours standing.
5- Exposure to sun and air.
6- Lack of fatty acids.

Avoiding Cracked Heels 

If we want to avoid cracked heels we provide to our feet every day, all the attention they deserve
1- Moisturize your heels every day, especially if you have dry skin.
2- Try not to be too long standing.
3- Avoid overweight because this increases the pressure on the heels and can cause the appearance of cracks. 

4- Follow a diet rich in vitamins, minerals and fatty acids (evening primrose oil, borage, sesame, etc.)
5- Maintain good hygiene to prevent the occurrence of infections.
6- Avoiding the use of open shoes in the lower part, because the heel fat expands sideways and cracks may occur.
7- Use a pumice stone after washing to remove dry skin.
